The Best of 2015 - Hamilton's Monaco nightmare
In the second instalment of our 10-part series, we journey back to May and the extraordinary chain of events that saw Lewis Hamilton surrender what had looked like certain victory on the streets of Monte Carlo.
The world champion had dominated proceedings up until lap 64, but when the safety car was deployed following a late-race crash for Max Verstappen things rapidly began to unravel. One side of the Mercedes garage made the right strategy call; the other didn’t.
