WEEKEND WARM-UP: The drivers prepare to beat the streets in Baku
Formula 1 has headed from one street circuit to another, travelling from Monaco to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. But the drivers were gearing up for a very different encounter from two weeks ago when they faced the media in Baku on Thursday.
Naturally, a good deal of the paddock chatter focused on F1’s return to Baku for the first time since 2019, with the drivers looking forward to being unleashed on the track where, down the 2.2-kilometre drag to Turn 1, they can hit speeds of between 220 and 230mph.
