WATCH: Ride onboard with Norris as he secures pole position for the United States Grand Prix
Lando Norris was the fastest man on track when it mattered during qualifying at the Circuit of The Americas, narrowly sealing pole position ahead of Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz.
The Briton set the best first timed lap in Q3 which allowed him to top the timesheets with a 1m 32.330s before yellow flags prevented everyone from improving, with the result shuffling the podium finishers from the earlier Sprint in Austin.
Small margins separated the frontrunners as Verstappen found himself just 0.031s back from the McLaren, ensuring that the winner of tomorrow’s Grand Prix is far from definite.
