After a pre-race weekend build-up of gargantuan proportions, the first ever Miami Grand Prix finally got under way, with pole-sitter Charles Leclerc making the perfect getaway to maintain his P1 position.
But the Monegasque wouldn’t have been getting too comfortable, with his key championship rival Max Verstappen passing the second Ferrari of Carlos Sainz into Turn 1 to claim P2, in a move that could prove key for the Dutchman’s race.
