Only 20 drivers race at the pinnacle of motorsport. But only one makes it to the top step of the podium at the end of each Grand Prix. So what does it feel like to win?
Only 111 drivers have ever won a Grand Prix, but 11 drivers on the current grid have achieved that – with Lewis Hamilton holding the record. And in this video, a number of those drivers including Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso give an honest and moving account of the pure elation that comes with victory.
But with that elation also comes a sense of relief, as many of the drivers in the video above attest to, with feelings of tension and pain waning as they cross the chequered flag and prepare to spray the champagne.
