WATCH: Gasly forced to retire from Monaco Grand Prix after collision with Tsunoda
Pierre Gasly was the first retirement of the Monaco Grand Prix after crashing into the back of Yuki Tsunoda heading into the Nouvelle Chicane.
The Alpine driver's front-left tyre made contact with the right-rear of the Red Bull under braking for the chicane, snapping the Frenchman's suspension as he took to the escape road and reported "I got no brakes" over the radio before retiring in the pits.

Tsunoda, who had been running in 17th having made a first-lap pit stop, asked: "Is he an idiot? What is he doing?" over the radio but carried on seemingly undamaged.
Although the pit lane entry was shut briefly, no Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car was deployed as local yellows covered the retrieval of debris.
