Sir Jackie Stewart is one of the all-time greats of Formula 1. A super fast and super smooth driver, he scored points in his very first Grand Prix, was on the podium in his second, and took a brilliant maiden win in his first season of F1 racing.
From 1965 until his retirement from driving in 1973, JYS was always one of the leading drivers in the sport. There were 27 victories in all, three world championship titles – and he finished as runner-up twice.
But as ever, the numbers don't tell the whole story: hit play in the video above to see 10 of Sir Jackie's best moments in the sport, including his incredible duel with Jochen Rindt at the 1969 British Grand Prix, and that stunning victory at a rain-soaked Nurburgring when he finished some four minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
