The Belgian Grand Prix has thrown up some brilliant battles over the years, with champions going toe to toe in all weather conditions around the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen had an entertaining tussle in Hamilton’s maiden championship-winning year, the then McLaren driver duelling with the Ferrari man before squirreling past – only to run wide and gift the place back. That wasn’t the end of it though as the rain fell with just two laps to go.
Ferrari and McLaren also slugged it out back in 2000, with Mika Hakkinen and Michael Schumacher fighting for the lead. The Finn used a backmarker to pull off an audacious overtake – one he dubbed “incredible” as he took the win on his way to the world title.
