PALMER: Why the fractious battles in Mexico showed that racing respect is the key element of great fighting in F1


A week on from all the discussion about track limits and racing rules in Austin, and we’re back talking about them again after a spate of incidents in Mexico – headlined by the latest battle between title rivals Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
Whilst Max was uncompromising in his defence in Austria and Austin, I felt that in Mexico he showed a new level that he’s willing to go to to prevent Lando from passing him – and for which I believe he was rightly penalised twice on Sunday.
