The first ever Tuscan Grand Prix is not a race that’s going to be forgotten in a hurry, with two red flag stoppages, some furious on-track battling, and even a first podium for Red Bull’s Alex Albon, who finished third behind the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
With Ferrari celebrating their 1,000th Grand Prix at the Mugello track they’ve been proud owners of since 1988, there was even a double-points finish for the Scuderia, as Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel came home eighth and 10th – although in a field that had been whittled down to just 12 runners by the end, that was probably the least Ferrari could have hoped for...
