Day two

Tuesday's session featured Sebastian Vettel for Ferrari, Daniil Kvyat for Red Bull, and 2015 GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne for McLaren. It was Vettel who went fastest, clocking 1m 06.730s around a short configuration of the Paul Ricard circuit. Kvyat was less than one tenth of a second slower than Vettel, with Vandoorne 0.9s down the road. In total the trio completed 374 laps on day two - bringing the total to 659 laps, or more than 2,300 kilometres, over the two days. All running was completed on unmarked tyres, meaning teams did not know what specification of compound they were using.

Day one

Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren are the three teams on track for the F1 tyre supplier, all using 2015 cars. Monday's session saw Daniel Ricciardo, Kimi Raikkonen and McLaren tester Stoffel Vandoorne complete 285 laps between them.
