When Red Bull’s Max Verstappen clinched his fourth world championship in Las Vegas last year, it felt like he was invincible.
It was one thing to crush the opposition by winning 19 out of 22 races in what was comfortably the best car to take the 2023 crown, quite another thing to recover from a mid-season 10-race winless streak in what was the third or at times fourth best car to grind his way to last year’s drivers’ title.
