HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from Qualifying in Miami as Antonelli seizes pole
Kimi Antonelli will line up in pole position for a third consecutive race at the Miami Grand Prix.
Kimi Antonelli ended Qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix at the top of the timesheets, the Mercedes driver claiming pole position in a thrilling session.
After provisionally sealing P1 during the opening runs of Q3, Antonelli did not manage to improve on his lap in the final laps – but his original time of 1m 27.798s proved enough to secure his third consecutive pole position of the season.
In a closely-fought Qualifying, Max Verstappen placed second for Red Bull – 0.166s adrift of Antonelli – while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took third place.
Hours on from his Sprint victory, Lando Norris had to settle for P4 in the McLaren, ahead of the Mercedes of George Russell in P5 and Lewis Hamilton for Ferrari in P6.
