The excitement is beginning to grow as Madrid prepares to welcome Formula 1 back for the first time in over four decades, with new images emerging of the brand-new Madring circuit before the action gets underway.
Its twisty layout and combination of permanent sections and public roads will make it a unique challenge for the drivers, but few are more excited than track ambassador Carlos Sainz, who was born in the Spanish capital.
He previously got a taste of the venue earlier this season, as did Ferrari during a filming session, but it'll be a different story when all 22 competitors take to the circuit for the first time this weekend.
Check out the latest images from the Madring in the gallery above.
