Could Verstappen prove tough to beat in the Singapore Sprint?


Max Verstappen came out on top in an intriguing Sprint Qualifying in Singapore, but while George Russell was an impressive second, his Mercedes team mate and championship leader Kimi Antonelli – who is still running with the new-spec – was down in seventh.

Verstappen has proven time and time again over the years that he's capable of delivering the unexpected – and that was the case once again on Friday evening under the lights at Marina Bay as he stormed to a brilliant pole position in Sprint Qualifying.
