BARRETTO: It’s Lawson vs Ricciardo for the second RB seat in 2025 – but is there a way to keep them both happy?

There are four seats still up for grabs on the 2025 Formula 1 grid – and one of the most intriguing is at Red Bull’s sister team RB, where the Italian squad is set to choose between the experience of Daniel Ricciardo and the youthful talent of Liam Lawson as Yuki Tsunoda’s team mate.

In many ways, it’s a nice problem to have as RB have a choice between two solid options. On the other hand, it will mean that someone will be left unhappy when the final call is made – either Ricciardo faces the end of his time in F1 or Lawson must warm the bench for longer.
