Alonso leaves hospital but misses final test
Fernando Alonso has been released from hospital, but McLaren have confirmed he will sit out this week's final pre-season test at Barcelona.
The Spaniard suffered concussion and was airlifted to hospital following a final-day crash during the second test, and while MRI and CT scans revealed no further injuries, he was kept in hospital for three nights. McLaren say he will now continue his recuperation at his family's home in Spain.
Kevin Magnussen, who drove for the team last season, will replace Alonso for the four-day test in Barcelona, which runs from February 26-March 1.
Magnussen's 2014 team mate Jenson Button will drive on the opening day, with McLaren set to confirm the running order for the remaining three days "in due course".
