Max Verstappen made it a clean sweep of all practice sessions in Mexico, as he narrowly edged out the impressive Alex Albon to top the timesheets at the final rehearsal ahead of qualifying.
Verstappen was the last of the front runners to complete a qualifying simulation lap on the soft tyre, with the Dutch driver going across the line to set a time of 1m 17.887s – eclipsing Albon’s lap by 0.070s.

Sergio Perez’s performance was greeted with a cheer from the Mexican fans, as he went third, while George Russell was the lead Mercedes in fourth, just ahead of the McLaren of Oscar Piastri.
Both Ferrari drivers had their fast laps hindered by traffic, with Carlos Sainz spinning as he took avoiding action after encountering Lance Stroll at the esses.
