There's one man being cheered louder than all the others at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez this weekend – home hero Sergio Perez, who, for the first time in his career, has a car genuinely capable of winning his home race.
And it was all looking good in final practice as the Mexican topped the time sheets ahead of his Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen, just a few hours before the fight for pole position began.
